No town exists in a vacuum and what affects one impacts others. It is useful to have an interest and awareness of what is going on in neighboring communities.
Deer hunting, dog barking, pollution, high density housing, influx of residents.
One of the neighboring communities of Upper Saddle River, the Village of Chesnut Ridge, has been dealing with numerous issues that have / may have potential impact on the surrounding towns. Over development, high density housing, places of worship in residential buildings are just some of the issues facing this and other Rockland County communities and will impact the traffic, population and more. Much has been written about it the press in Rockland County but little has filtered through to Bergen County. Residents should be aware of some of the issues, and with an election for Village Trustee on March 19 now might be a good time.
