Hillside Ave is proceeding, with violations, permits issues, etc., etc. and The Village of Airmont either can’t or won’t do anything to control this juggernaut. It is an environmental disaster in the making with water issues a major priority – both accessing, removing, and ensuring purity of the aquifer – despite the PFAS that are already present. This is the aquifer that Upper Saddle River residents draw their well water from.
As the wells run the risk of running dry what are the prospects for Upper Saddle River???
Like Detroit…..bottled water for years?
While Airmont fiddles Upper Saddle River burns.
Kudos to the determined members of CUPON Airmont and CUPON Mahwah who appear to be the only sentinels for the local towns where too many residents – and town halls – have their heads in the sand. Remember these folk when you can’t make your morning coffee with ease, or brush your teeth.
