Following the water issues that recently plagued Pleasant Brook news has filtered through the ether that Toll Brothers has been issued a Stop Work Order. Again.
But in typical Upper Saddle River Borough Hall fashion with complete lack of transparency there is no information about this anywhere. Nothing to the residents, nothing on the town website, nothing on Facebook, Twitter, anywhere. No one knows exactly why it has been issued? For how long? What do Toll Brothers have to do to comply? Why did what was in place fail? Who is overseeing this? Is it Boswell Engineering? The state? Does it affect Mahwah? So many questions?
Much like the last time.
Much like so many other issues.
Why aren’t the town residents – who are affected by this – given the common courtesy of being told what is going on in their town? Those who are directly affected, and those who aren’t.
As usual everyone is left to guess. And speculate.
Like mushrooms, everyone is left in the dark.
That is why we need some new voices in Borough Hall. Vote for Nvair and Richard!!!
Very long overdue. How residents have tolerated being kept in the dark over so many things is mystifying.
This past weekend Saturday/Sunday (December 26/27 2020) Toll Brothers resumed dewatering activities at its infamous 19 Meadowbrook Road location in Upper Saddle River. I guess election excitement is over and we’re back to “normal”. Happy New Year my Citizens FB Friend!
After so long they still do what they want and get away with it. A sad reflection on the town, the mayor and council, Boswell Engineering, the USR Environmental Committee who hasn’t done a thing about this at all, or any residents.
Happy New Year to you too, thanks for keeping us up to date on everything!
