News about the development of a mikvah and more on Hillside Ave isn’t good. The project is alarmingly big. The impact for Upper Saddle River is huge – not least the impact on the water source.
There are many questions – where are they going to access all the water for the baths?
What about the sewage?
The sewage alone is a significant concern.
May 6th there was a planning meeting in Airmont, a town that has huge problems enforcing existing codes and dealing issues correctly. This meeting requested concerned people to submit questions and concerns.
What to do?
Residents are strongly encouraged to join CUPON Mahwah and get involved in this issue. CUPON Mahwah have been working tirelessly on this issue but they are a small group and need support and donations.
If you leave this to the Upper Saddle River mayor and council who knows what will happen.
